The Barn, which is made of cypress and housed mules before it was moved to the Center, was brought to the Center by Elizabeth Patterson from a South Carolina farm for the purpose of holding large group meetings during Baba’s visits. When it was reconstructed she had the interior columns removed so that no one’s view of Baba would be obstructed. Here Meher Baba gave discourses to the gatherings of his followers and was entertained by their performances for him.
