Meher Spiritual Center is located on the ocean side
of Highway 17 in between the cities of Myrtle Beach
and North Myrtle Beach, just north of the intersection
with Highway 22. The Center is directly across the highway
from Colonial Mall.
FROM HIGHWAY 501
Heading South on Highway 501, a few miles before Conway (after Aynor), turn off on Hwy 22 East for Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach. Your're now about 30 miles from the Center. Stay on Hwy 22 about 28 miles until it ends where it joins Hwy 17. Follow the signs for Hwy 17 North towards North Myrtle Beach (left-hand lanes of Hwy 22). The first traffic light after merging into 17 is our entry on the right. Directly across the highway from our entrance is a large sign for the Colonial Mall. Turn right at the light onto our entry road and proceed to the Gateway building, first building on your right.
GOING NORTH ON HWY 17
As you proceed north on Hwy 17, wherever there is a turnoff for Hwy 17 Business, do not take that turnoff. Stay on regular (non-business) Hwy 17. As you pass through Myrtle Beach, you will pass the Highway 501 interchange. After about 8 more miles, Hwy 17 merges with Hwy 17 Business (after 82nd Ave. and the Dixie Stampede on your right). Continue going north on Hwy 17 and soon you will pass the Hwy 22 interchange when you are less than a mile from the Center entrance. The second traffic light after the interchange is our entry on the right. Directly across the highway from our entrance is a large sign for the Colonial Mall. Turn right at the light onto our entry road and proceed to the Gateway building, first building on your right.
GOING SOUTH ON HWY 17
Traveling south on Hwy 17 from North Carolina, follow
Hwy 17 to North Myrtle Beach and go through North Myrtle
Beach. At the south end of North Myrtle Beach you'll
see a traffic light at 48th Ave. South with Barefoot
Landing on your right (with many shops, restaurants
and the Alabama Theater) and on the left is a BP Station/MacDonalds
restaurant. At this point you are one and a half miles
from our entrance. Continue south on Hwy 17 and you
will soon see a large sign for Colonial Shopping Mall
on your right and a traffic light located where the
sign is. Make a left turn at that traffic light. This
is often a bit difficult because cars in the left-hand
lanes on the opposite side of the intersection block
your view of oncoming traffic. If this is the case,
the safest thing is to wait behind the white line and
eventually you'll get a left-turn arrow. Proceed on
our entry road to the Gateway building, first building
on your right.
FROM HWY 9
(Note that the highway identified on the map on
this page as Carolina Bays Parkway is actually Hwy 31.)
Heading towards the coast on Highway 9, take the right-hand
onramp for Hwy 31 South for Myrtle Beach and Georgetown.
Continue a little over 7 miles on Hwy 31, then take
the right-hand turnoff for Hwy 22 for Myrtle Beach and
Conway. Then coming up very quickly, take the left-hand
turnoff for Hwy 22 East for Myrtle Beach. Soon Hwy 22
will end at Hwy 17, so follow the signs for Hwy 17 North
towards North Myrtle Beach (left-hand lanes of Hwy 22).
The first traffic light after merging into 17 is our
entry on the right. Directly across the highway from
our entrance is a large sign for the Colonial Mall.
Turn right at the light onto our entry road and proceed
to the Gateway building, first building on your right.
