INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS OF GROUPS
INQUIRING ABOUT RETREATS AT MEHER CENTER
By Meher Baba's directive, Meher Spiritual Center is
a place of retreat and pilgrimage, open to all who love
and follow Meher Baba and to those who know of him and
want to know more. Its purpose is to provide for each
Center guest a retreat experience of rest, meditation
and renewal of the spiritual life.
Every so often, people who have an affiliation with
a particular group in their personal or professional
lives ask about coming to the Center as a group. For
this reason, we want to be clear about our Center guidelines.
GUIDELINES
| 1. |
Meher Center is not available
for rental by groups. Therefore, guests should not
be charged any additional fees for their time at
the Center. Anyone assuming a coordinator role is
not to profit financially in any way. |
| 2. |
Each person must make his or
her own reservation with the Gateway. Cabin and
kitchen placements will be made to serve the best
overall needs of the Center and vacancies will not
be held before an actual reservation is made. |
| 3. |
No workshops, discussion groups,
or planned and scheduled group activities are to
be held. Of course, spontaneous, informal group
activities are fine, but should always be open to
other guests, and in the spirit of that openness. |
| 4. |
No business, including sales
or marketing of any sort, is to be conducted on
the Center. No professional or healing services
are to be rendered on the Center, except by administrative
permission. Guests should not be working off Center
during their retreat. |
