In this detailed, and carefully curated history, Jamie Newell summarizes Meher Baba’s three visits to the Center. The well-known musician and scholar also puts each visit into the larger context of Baba’s activities during the 1950s. Jamie’s talk is rich with anecdotes, including Elizabeth Patterson’s nervousness about whether Baba would even accept the gift of the Center to one about Baba’s surprise when they got to what is now called “Gator Lake” only to find there were no alligators. It’s a great mini history lesson!
