Elaine Goodman, the daughter of two Holocaust survivors and mother of three, shares her poignant story as a former member of the Society for Avatar Meher Baba. She admits she wasn’t looking for God or spirituality when she was given her first two Baba books, but they gave her comfort. She started going to Baba meetings and became a deeply embedded member of The Society for the next 10 years. She met her husband Steven there and they eventually moved to Pennsylvania and started their family. One of the main themes in Elaine’s life with Baba has been overcoming PTSD and learning forgiveness.
