Baba’s Birthday Play (1st performance), Meeting Place
This year, a special birthday play titled “A Day in the Life of Harish, the Meherabad Rickshaw Walla,” will be performed at the Center on Saturday, February 21st, and Sunday, February 22nd, at 7:15 pm at the Meeting Place. This play is a comedy written and directed by Joe DiSabatino. In the play you will meet Harish, the amiable and unflappable rickshaw driver who silently witnesses his Western Baba-lover passengers coping with Baba-induced crises as they await the train to pass at the Meherabad railroad crossing. There are four short scenes-Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night-that take place on the day of June 28, 2000.
Due to limited seating in the Meeting Place, reservations are required. To sign up for one performance or the other, call Jane Mossman at 843-222-0858, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. On Saturday and Sunday call Gateway 843-272-5777 9 a.m – 5 p.m. to reserve or make changes to an existing reservation.
The play will begin promptly at 7:15 p.m. Please do not arrive late. Also, please do not bring children younger than 7 years old.
