Holiday Guidelines

Extended Holiday visiting hours:

Monday, December 18th through Monday, January 1st

9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day (6 p.m. on Friday)

7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. every night (1:00 a.m. New Years Eve)

Please remember these Directives when you come:

  • Be sure to honor the daily departure times: 5 p.m. (bell rings at 4:45 to remind you) and 11 p.m.
  • Use a flashlight at night.
  • Wear covered shoes.
  • Baba asks that we not indulge in conversations involving backbiting, politics and drugs.
  • Sign in at the Gateway or Gate Hut EACH time you come on Center, in the daytime and again if you return for the evening.  Keys and maps should be returned daily.
  • Only retreat guests staying on Center can use the kitchen facilities. 
  • Drive slowly; park only in the designated parking lots.
  • Do not visit in cabins or on cabin porches of Center retreat guests.
  • Please maintain close supervision of your children.
  • Smoking outside is strictly prohibited, except in areas where clay pots are provided. Smoking is not allowed in any buildings, in cabins or on cabin porches, and is also not allowed on the porches of the Original Kitchen, Refectory, Playground, Library, Dilruba or Meher Abode.
  • Cell phone ringers should be turned off and no calls made or received where others can hear you.
  • Please respect the needs of others for a restful atmosphere.
  • Please help to keep the Center in order: tidy up, turn off lights, and close doors as you leave.
