“I looked up at Baba and He had the biggest smile on His face, arms wide open”

Shireen Bonner has the distinct privilege of being Meher Baba’s niece. She is also the only one of her generation to be raised in the West, which gives her a unique perspective. In this engaging talk, Shireen shares what it was like to grow up as a member of Baba’s close family. Her stories include the first time she remembers meeting Him, how loving He was, and how playful. With a matter-fact-of-fact humor, she also recounts what happened the few times she pushed against Baba’s will. Most memorably, though, He also told her that the most important thing she could do for Him was “to be happy.”
