Peter Nordeen shares a video about Kaikhushru Masa
For this week’s “lover’s offering,” Peter Nordeen, a Meher Baba historian, shares a video about Kaikhushru Masa. Born in 1880, Kaikhushru was one of Meher Baba’s earliest and closest disciples. Peter tells the poignant story of this spiritual seeker, taking us on a journey covering Kaikhushru’s early adulthood as a seeker of God; his meeting the five Perfect Masters of the time; surrendering himself and his wife, Soonamasi, and daughter, Khorshed, to his Master, Meher Baba; his terrible troubles with his family; and finally his death in 1931, dying in Meher Baba’s arms.

“Drowning in this ocean of love”
In 1927, Meher Baba established the Prem Ashram, a small school at Meherabad focused on love for God. Many of the boys in the school had profound spiritual experiences before Baba sent them back to their homes. Esfandiar Vesali was part of the Prem Ashram, an experience which formed the foundation for the rest of his life. In this talk, given in Farsi with translation, Esfandiar discusses how Baba continued to be his beloved companion throughout his life, both inwardly and when he saw Him again in the body.

“Everything He does is because of Love”
In this talk given last year at Meher Center on the occasion of Baba’s 126th birthday, Meherwan Mistry shares intimate details of his family’s time with Baba. Meherwan is the son of Roda Mistry, who was the niece of Chanji, Baba’s first secretary and the first person from the Dadachanji family who came to Baba in the 1920’s. This intergenerational sharing and reflection displays Baba at His most Personal Godhood.

“Never say no to Baba”
Sarwar Taraporewala narrates the story of her intimate contact with Meher Baba as a child. The daughter of Baidul (one of Baba’s Mandali), she was born in Persia but later moved to Meherabad with her family as directed by Baba. Through the experience of a child, she shares her encounters with masts, being on the Blue Bus tours, being in Rishikesh with Baba, and being under His instruction in every aspect of her life.
