“What would have happened to our world, which is so full of noise…., if He had not kept silence?”
In this delightful audio clip, Eruch shares what Baba really thought about Silence Day. It may surprise you! Eruch also tells an anecdote from the first Silence Day after Baba dropped his body. A man came to Meherazad with an urgent message for the mandali, but he was so moved by their silence that he had trouble speaking and could barely get out a word.

“We should lighten His burden”
Rustom Irani, nephew of Meher Baba and twin to Sohrab, shares lively and humorous songs and stories from his life with his uncle, the God Man. The video starts with a 1971 interview with the twins at Pumpkin House. They talked about how much they entertained Baba by doing plays, singing and cracking jokes. Rustom recalled that his most wonderful time with Baba was from 1958-1968, when Baba asked them to spend every day at Guruprasad. Baba would frequently tease them, “I am God and know everything. But I don’t know which boy is Sohrab and which is Rustom!” The evening concluded with a sweet performance by Cyrus and Darian Blum(Rustom’s grandsons) .

The Art of Praise as a Path to God: Session Six
In this last session, Ward Parks shares a few of the themes and poetic concepts Francis Brabazon used in his book Stay with God. The book is a song and narrative performance of “The Divine Theme,” using The Ten States of God as outlined in God Speaks. In the book, Francis includes themes of devotion to and from God, using art as the medium, suggesting that the highest form of art is God descending into human form. Ward discusses how Francis uses many historical and mythical references to develop his themes. Baba was very pleased with Stay with God; He read it several times and encouraged some of his followers to keep more than one copy in the house.

“It was like a restlessness was growing in me”
Daniel Stone was raised in a highly intellectual Jewish family in a “pretty atheistic environment.” So it may not be surprising that when he first heard about Meher Baba around 1970, his reaction was rather cautious and unsure. He found an authority in the Discourses, but he was also put off by the fact that he couldn’t figure out what to do to become a “Baba lover.” His path still took him to Myrtle Beach where Kitty Davy, out of the blue, suggested he go to Rishikesh. Daniel did just that and visited various ashrams, including that of Neem Karoli Baba where he had a profound “heart awakening experience.” Still, he didn’t feel that Neem Karoli was his “guru.” Daniel eventually made his way to Ahmednagar and there, on the road to Meherazad, he had an another deep, profound awakening. This time it was imprinted with Meher Baba saying to him, “I am your master.”

“Baba was a perfect producer and re-producer of His thoughts through His gestures.”
On June 1, 1971, the Luck Brothers interviewed and filmed Eruch Jessawala in the Meher Nazar Compound, Ahmednager. In Part One, Eruch details how he became Baba’s interpreter. It was not easy and he struggled, but Baba was patient with him. In Parts Two and Three, Eruch talks about Baba’s compassion and care for the masts, the poor and the lepers. Baba had said to Eruch, “Love is the gift from God to Man.” He then shares a pivotal time when, after many years living with Baba, he received the conviction of Baba as The God-Man. Baba’s infinite, limitless love, patience and attributes were, Eruch remarks, “what convinced me of His Godhood”.

The Art of Praise as a Path to God: Session Five
In this stimulating and captivating session, Ward Parks takes a deep plunge into Francis Brabazon’s Stay with God. Using the foundations that he laid in the last four sessions, he examines Stay with God in terms of its structure, symbology, and its great epic conventions. Like a digging expedition, the five parts of the book reveal the different dimensions of the Avatar and the brilliant literary tools that Francis used to fulfill Baba’s order to write this book which in Baba’s words would be second only to God Speaks. The series will conclude next week with Part six which will continue to explore this masterpiece.

“Baba showed me that real sadhana was to live your life in the world and spiritualize it”
Daniel Peach, originally from Columbia, South Carolina, shares many sweet and humorous stories of his spiritual life, starting at a young age. He was dedicated to Kriya Yoga for years, meditating several hours a day, and he quickly mastered Hindi, which gave him a powerful and life-long connection to India. He learned about Meher Baba from his boss and friend, Meherwan Irani, the owner of Chai Pani, and though he loved Baba very much, he was not ready to accept that He was God in human form. But after reading God Speaks, Daniel stated aloud, “Meher Baba is God! Who else could have written this book but God!” Daniel is now married, living in Atlanta and travels back to Meherabad often.

The Art of Praise as a Path to God: Session Four
Ward Parks’ 4th session on Francis Brabazon’s poetry is called “Cultural Critique and Eschatology in The Word at World’s End.” Ward describes the first half as being a “torrent of images depicting modern life…cold and empty, hammering relentlessness…of those who have forgotten God,” but the second half is conversely full of praise. The last 20 minutes includes a musical version of Francis’ poem “Hymn To God The Man,” by Sam Saunders and The Wineshop Singers. Francis read The World at World’s End to Baba every morning and He was full of big grins and chuckles.

“Baba plans this whole thing for you and He’s there for you all the time”
In this frank and humorous talk, Tiina Coffin shares her international story which begins in Finland and at various times passes through Morocco, Europe, Maine, India and ends up in Myrtle Beach. As a young child in Finland, she felt she was followed by a loving presence, despite being raised without a sense of spirituality. As she grew older, she was looking for that presence and as a teen was drawn to India and books on Eastern philosophies. When she first learned about Meher Baba, she says, she “finally had a name for that feeling in my heart.” And that’s just the beginning!
