The Theme of Creation; An Exploration of Meher Baba’s GOD Speaks

In this accessible and comprehensive primer on God Speaks, filmmaker Tim Thelen explores the theme of creation through the lens of Meher Baba’s spiritual masterpiece. He follows “the journey of the soul from its unconscious origin through to human form and on to God-Realization.” He deftly incorporates Darwin’s theory of evolution with Baba’s correction that it is consciousness that drives evolution, not the other way around. The book’s ideas are explored through an array of interviews from a diverse cast of followers of Meher Baba, including Adele Wolkin, Phyllis Ott, Robert Dreyfuss, Carl Ernst, and Charmian Duce Knowles. Originally produced in 2005, this version was remastered in 2022.

“This giving of Baba’s, this bounty, this grace, this compassion, I think, is His real silence…”

In this short, touching audio, Mani and Eruch talk about Baba’s love for animals. It begins with the story of a wounded Hoopoe found during the Blue Bus Tours and ends with the tale of a young man on whom Baba bestowed His grace simply because he was tickled by his name, Moses. These stories are reminders of Baba’s infinite grace during this time of Thanksgiving.

“He does live in our hearts and His love is stronger than ever and always is with us”

With a gentle clarity, Leatrice Shaw Johnston shares her rich, detailed experiences at the 1962 East West Gathering. She begins in 1956 when Baba first planted a desire in her to go to India. She then launches directly into what it was like to be in His presence at Guruprasad, where “the love just flowed out of Him.” She also talks about what it was like to have the rare experience of being with Baba with a group of only women. “lt felt like all of the finest attributes of womanhood were heightened, all of the loveliness, all of the beauty – everything that a woman stands for was being accentuated so we could be more aware of it and enjoy being what we are.” She also talks about the difference between being with Baba in Myrtle Beach, New York, and India, among many other wonderful experiences.
