“What do we do with anger?”

In this excerpt from Part two of Bhau’s life with Baba, Bhau answers an important question: How do we deal with anger? He narrates a story that Baba told about a cobra who gave up biting and another one about Ali, the follower of Mohammed. Bhau also shares his own story of expressing anger, ending with Baba’s message to Eruch about love and anger.

Reading Baba’s Gestures

In this raw footage which has never been shared before, Eruch Jessawala, Meher Baba’s interpreter, shares Baba’s unique sign language. He demonstrates letters, phrases and expressions to depict Baba’s communication and his own dance in trying to interpret the Avatar’s precise words.

“Blind slave of Krishna”

In this recording, Baba’s beloved Mehera tells a version of the inspiring and dramatic story of the poet saint Surdas. When Surdas confessed his love for a beautiful performer, she told him that he should love God the way he loved her. Surdas began the ultimate journey to fulfil her behest, finally developing a love that resounds through the ages.

“Surrendering is the thing”

Faredoon Driver, nicknamed “Padri” by Baba because of his tall, priest-like stature, spent his life in service to the Avatar. In this selection of a recording taken at Meherabad in 1972, Padri discusses the spiritual path. He stresses that there are no shortcuts on the path to God, that it requires many, many lifetimes. We must surrender to Him, and, as Padri puts it, “He’ll take care of the rest.”
