Seven Names of God

This beautiful prayer-song-chant was composed by Meher Baba. The haunting melody supports the beautiful names of God: HARI – PARAMATMA – ALLAH – AHURAMAZDA – GOD – YEZDAN – HU. Meher Baba said all these names are one and that all religions of the world are like “beads on one string.” In this video we hear Meher Baba’s closest women disciples singing this poignant chant in His Tomb-Shrine from a recording most likely made in the 1980s.

“The most outstanding person”

In this video, Louis and Vivian Agostini share glimpses of their experiences with Baba. Louis worked for Paul Brunton, the spiritual thinker who wrote The Search for Secret India. Initially, Louis was put off by Brunton’s unflattering description of Meher Baba. But when Louis read God Speaks, its “depth and simplicity” changed the course of his life. Vivian, an artist, describes her deep desire to create a likeness of Baba. She eventually created a small Baba medal trying to capture the “unforgettable grandeur of expression in His eyes.” Mani told her that Baba was very pleased with it, and that it was one of the best portraits done of Him.

“Days at Meherazad”

On a visit to Meherazad in 1996, Arnavaz Dadachanji asked Pam Rubenstein to write a song with the lyrics, “Sitting on the porch, holding high the torch of His love.” She did so, along with her husband Danny Rubenstein. Now, over twenty-five years later, Bob Fredericks has added footage of Baba’s Mandali doing just that. Eruch, Mani, Arnavaz, and others are depicted as they were for so many years: sitting on Baba’s porch, pouring out His love for His family.
