The New Life: Then and Now Part One
In October of 2024, Ward Parks gave a six-part presentation at Meher Center on the phase of Baba’s life He referred to as “The New Life.” We will be sharing each session in the Center’s offerings over the coming weeks. In this first session, Ward presents a general overview of this time-period in Baba’s work, laying the ground work to dive deeper in the following sessions.

“What is Baba’s Will?”

October Virtual Sahavas Music Program

“It is not easy to obey Him”
In this footage from 1971, Eruch dictates common phrases of Meher Baba’s while Mani delightfully and with great expression translates into Baba’s hand gestures. Eruch then goes on to share a selection of stories relating to the difficulty of obeying Baba 100%.

In part nine of this series, Jamie Newell explores the final decade of Meher Baba’s life in His physical form. He focuses on Baba’s continued physical suffering resulting from his automobile accidents, His intense seclusion, and a look at His stated goal of completing His universal spiritual work for humanity. In addition, Jamie touches on the significance of the East-West Gathering, as well as Meher Baba’s message on drugs.

“The greatest lesson was to stick to Him”
In this Thanksgiving talk on Center two weeks ago, Irwin Luck spoke about his meeting with Baba in 1961. His story telling is light, grounded and humorous. Irwin shares how Baba arranged for his life to change so he could meet Baba, what it was really like to be in His presence and how his life became Baba’s in the years on. Irwin also takes questions from the audience and interweaves his reflections on being a lover of Baba for so many years.

“Baba provides the answer before the question comes up”
Meher Baba’s sister, Mani, was wholly devoted to Baba from the moment she came into this world. In this recording, she speaks about trusting that Baba will do “His job” when it comes to our lives. She illustrates through experiences of herself and others that we cannot know what Baba wants for us, but we must trust that He knows, and that He will make it clear in time.

A Conversation with the Meher Center Board
On November 24th, the Meher Center Board held a virtual gathering open to all members of the community. Board members presented current news about the Center, as well as an update on its finances and operations. Community members then had the opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts in breakout rooms.
