“Baba gave me an after dinner mint”
Charles Joyner was an accomplished and well known historian and author from Myrtle Beach. Being from the area, Charles became acquainted with Elizabeth Patterson in the 1950s through the Methodist Church (where Elizabeth was a pillar) and through the Myrtle Beach Farms Company where Charles held a summer job. He was struck by Elizabeth’s spiritual presence and later by Kitty Davy’s formidable intellect. In 1956, Elizabeth Patterson invited Charles and his co-workers to see Baba. Here, Charles talks about his meeting with Baba and his continued connection with the Center.

“It is a cleansing process”
Delia De Leon was one of Baba’s close, early women disciples. She first met Meher Baba in 1931. In this short audio, Delia talks about the lessons she learned around Baba. From the cleansing process that Baba uses with His lovers by bringing things to consciousness, to putting them in situations they need to work on, He does it all and helps along the way.

Meher Baba of Ahmednagar: His Life in Historical Perspective Part 6
In part six of this series about Meher Baba’s life in historical perspective, Jamie Newell explores the next phase of Baba’s work from the years 1939 to 1949. This phase focuses on the World War and Baba’s unique work with Masts. Here, Baba differentiates between madness and God-intoxication and starts His work at the Rahuri ashram before setting out all over India to work with the God-intoxicated souls whom He loved so much. Baba said that He worked for the entire humanity through them.

“The Avatar is the Joker”
In this audio, Bal Natu talks about playing cards with Meher Baba. On several occasions, he played the game La Risque that Baba loved so much. While it is entertaining to hear about Baba playing cards, everything that the Avatar does has a deeper meaning. Bal shares Baba’s explanations of the spiritual path through the deck of cards and how each card represents the characters on the path.

“The spiritual life is a life of contradictions”
In this loving and very eloquent talk, Davana Brown shares stories of Eruch Jessawala’s conviction, the lessons from living with, serving and observing the Mandali, and many reflections on the profundity of the spiritual path with Baba. On Eruch’s death anniversary, she brings home the point that his stories, even though they happened years ago, are just as relevant today for her as they are for all of us. Davana served as Eruch’s helper at Meherazad for two decades.

Baba’s Kitty – A True Friend
In this very intimate and sweet video, we see Kitty Davy over the years with close friends in Myrtle Beach. This video commemorates her birthday and ends with the celebration of her hundredth birthday. Beyond all, it gives us a glimpse into her loving friendship and the impact she had on everyone she met.

Meher Baba of Ahmednagar: His Life in Historical Perspective Part 5
In part five of this series about Meher Baba’s life in historical perspective, Jamie Newell explores the next phase of Baba’s work from years 1931 to 1939. Merwan, the boy who was awakened by the Perfect Masters, is now Meher Baba. In this period, one sees His journey from being a fakir to the toast of Hollywood. Jamie goes through all of Baba’s trips to the West in the 1930s and their salient features, including the start of His association with western devotees who would become very close to Him for rest of their lives.

“His Fragrance is at His tomb”
