Doing All For His Sake

Mani shares stories of her childhood with Baba and her sole ambition to be with Him. In this quintessentially Mani video, we get to see the objects that she made for Baba as a child. She also shows examples of the meticulous work that Mehera and she did in creating artistic pieces made from Baba’s hair and nails—not mere relics but symbols of simple devotion and utmost love for the Highest of the High.

“He was always by my side”

Kavas Arjani grew up in a family devoted to Baba. Through stories of his parents’ unique paths to Baba in the late 1940’s and deep surrender to Him; Kavas’s childhood antics that made Baba and the Mandali laugh; Kavas’s inner struggle with Baba after his brother died in 1968; and many simple, timeless moments the family shared with the Master; Kavas brings to light Baba’s constant companionship and exquisite care.

Mehera J. Irani: Her Life with Meher Baba Part #1

To honor Mehera’s birthday later this month, we are delighted to share an audio series of her life with Baba narrated by her. The Part One of this audio was shared in May of this year to honor her reunion day with the Beloved, and is posted here for those who might want to re-listen or for those who may have missed it.

Mehera J. Irani: Her Life with Meher Baba Part #2

While Part One focuses on her first meeting with Baba in Sakori, Part Two continues into her coming to be with Baba as one of the early residents of His ashram in Meherabad. Here, she shares Baba’s orders to them to focus on God’s name, working endlessly for Him, intimate contact with Upasani Maharaj and unknowingly being prepared by Baba for her upcoming destiny to be His female counterpart.

Avatar Meher Baba In Sakori

On September 20, 1954, Meher Baba took His 20 western guests and members of His Mandali to Sakori, to show them the Ashram of Upasni Maharaj, one of His five Perfect Masters, and to meet Godavari Mai, the Kanyas and others. This event was captured on 16 mm film by Lud Dimpfl, with still photographs by Panday, Darwin Shaw, and others.The following day Baba told the men about the rich history of His connection with Upasani Maharaj and Sakori. This 22 minute film, just produced this year, beautifully chronicles those moments with a musical backdrop.

“He speaks to us within our hearts”

Raj Khilnani grew up around Meher Baba and retired as a senior officer in the police department in Maharashtra. As a child he lived with his family at Khushru quarters under Baba’s direction and the Khilnani family remained connected with Baba throughout their lives. Here, Raj reflects on how Baba helped him through the ups and downs of a highly competitive and challenging work life, the many “coincidences” that were Baba’s guiding, invisible hands and His speaking to us internally. He ends with reading letters that Baba wrote to him and his parents.

“You loved Baba and He did the work”

In this frank talk, Donald Mahler shares his journey with Meher Baba. First learning about Baba through Margaret Craske while pursuing a career as a ballet dancer in the 1950’s, Donald met Baba twice at the Meher Center, and again at the East-West Gathering in 1962. But despite believing in Baba and trying to follow His orders, it was only after decades of hard-won lessons that Donald could feel the intimacy and love that were always there.
