New Reservation Policy Starting November 1
For many years, we have been taking reservations on the first of the month for stays any time in the month that starts two months later. For example, February 1 was the earliest one could make a reservation request for any time in the month of April. That first of the month date at the Gateway office is a sight to see: phones ringing off the hook, voice-mails piling up during those calls, emails coming through as well. It’s exciting, lively, and a bit chaotic.
Recently, we’ve come to the conclusion that this may not be the best way to go about this process. So, we thought we would try another way.
On November 1, 2022, Gateway will start taking reservations two months in advance OF THE DATE THAT YOU ARE ASKING TO ARRIVE.
For example, if you’d like to reserve a three-night stay starting January 5, the earliest you can call the Gateway is November 5. Any day after that is fine as well.
The fine print:
- If your requested arrival date is the 31st of the month and two months before that does not have a 31st, then call on the 30th, or whatever the last day of that month is two months ahead. For example, call on Feb. 28 for a reservation that begins April 28, 29 or 30.
- If you request dates that are unavailable, we will explore different dates.
- If emailing a reservation request, the date you can send the email also begins two months before your requested arrival date (same as phone calls).
