“Everything is even and clear and you usher in a new life with Baba”
When Mimi Hay’s children became old enough to visit the mandali in India, she and her husband decided to take them. It was a decision that was not popular with her large Catholic family and at a reunion before the trip, many of her relatives made that very clear. Hoping to assuage them, Mimi suddenly said “‘We’re going to go see Mother Teresa.’ And as soon as I said it, I thought, why did I say that?” They had no plans to do that. In this compelling talk, Mimi tells the simple yet extraordinary way Baba finessed not only a visit to Mother Teresa, but also an intimate and memorable one before a crowd of 40,000 people. Mimi also shares how she came to Baba and the story of an extraordinary trip to the top of Mount Fuji.

“Humor is one of the things that made Baba approachable.”
In this witty talk about Meher Baba’s humor, Steve Klein intersperses stories about Baba and the mandali with some of Steve’s own prose poems (a.k.a. prosems). He also shares some wonderful quotes about the Baba’s humor. For instance, Anita Vieillard once called Baba’s sense of humor “a lifeline sent to a drowning humanity.” Noting that Baba often worked to keep the atmosphere light and enjoyed teasing people, Steve also points out that Baba’s humor was “never mean-spirited, even when He teased somebody… Baba celebrated your uniqueness and took joy in it.”

“You will never drift away from Baba.”
In this delightful talk, Terry Barton shares her story of how she came to Baba. Although she wouldn’t have described herself as a “seeker” in her younger years, she was introduced to spirituality after high school through the books of Hermann Hesse. She goes on to share how Baba slowly reeled her in, and eventually led her to India where she tells tales of many wonderful experiences with Baba’s mandali.

The 100th Anniversary of Meher Baba’s Table House
The year 1925 was a “big” one for Meher Baba, according to scholar Jamie Newell. Not only did Baba begin His silence in the small cabin known as the Jhopdi at Lower Meherabad, but He also had the Table House built and the Dhuni fire lit for the first time. In addition, that’s the year Baba began writing His “mysterious book.” In this detailed talk, Jamie gives the history not only of the Table House, but also of the Dhuni and the Jhopdi. Jamie contends the three sites at Lower Meherabad form a kind of a “triangle of work tied to Baba’s silence and to his mysterious book.” Moving between the historical facts and Jamie’s own reflections, the talk gives a glimpse of what it must have been like to be with Baba during that momentous year.
